Round Table Discussion - 22nd January 2025 with Minister Anton Refalo, Parliamentary Secretary Alicia Bugeja Said, and Mr. Sharlo Camilleri, Permanent Secretary

The meeting was a positive one, during which we Vuċi għall-Annimali, and activists, NGOs, and members of the animal rights community, presented a number of proposals, actions, and a road map to improve the welfare of 'dangerous' animals. This issue has always been a concern for us, but it became more pressing following the recent case involving the lions in Naxxar.

Many of the points raised during the discussion were addressed in detail, with common agreement on the urgency of the matter. It was agreed that a follow-up meeting will be held within three months to evaluate progress and discuss the road map further.
